1. Put safety before urgency
Take time to know another member. A verified badge or approved profile is useful but does not remove the need for personal judgment. Do not allow anyone to pressure you into rapid commitments, secrecy or decisions that make you uncomfortable.
2. Never send money or financial credentials
Do not send money, cryptocurrency, gift cards, bank credentials, OTP codes, payment-card information or account passwords to another member. Treat requests involving emergencies, investments, visa/travel costs, medical costs, inheritance, customs charges or unusually profitable opportunities as high risk.
3. Protect personal information
Avoid sharing your home address, workplace access details, financial records, passwords, identity-document copies or other information that is not necessary for getting to know someone. Use Divimaga.lk messaging while you build trust, and be cautious when moving immediately to another messaging service.
4. Meeting in person
- Meet initially in a public, populated place.
- Tell a trusted person where you are going and who you are meeting.
- Arrange your own transport and keep control of your phone and belongings.
- Avoid becoming impaired and do not leave drinks unattended.
- If something feels unsafe, leave and seek help.
5. Warning signs
Use extra caution if a member provides inconsistent identity details, avoids reasonable verification, requests money, pressures you for intimate material, threatens you, pushes you to keep the relationship secret, sends suspicious links, or repeatedly ignores boundaries.
6. Block and report
You may block another member from their profile. Blocking removes the pair from normal discovery/interactions and closes active communication in the platform. Use Report when you believe a profile, message or behaviour may violate platform rules. Reports are reviewed by authorized administrators and may result in warnings, profile restrictions, suspension or blocking.
7. Serious or immediate harm
Divimaga.lk's moderation tools are not emergency services. If you believe you or another person is in immediate danger, or you believe a crime has occurred, contact the appropriate local emergency or law-enforcement authority and preserve relevant evidence. You may also submit a platform report so we can take account-level action.
8. Respect, consent and boundaries
A member may decline an interest, stop replying, block you or end communication at any time. Respect that decision. Do not pressure anyone for meetings, private photographs, sexual content, personal documents, money or continued contact.
9. Safety contact
For non-emergency platform safety concerns, use the in-platform report function or contact support@divimaga.lk.
